The Pointer Sisters did not disappoint J & I at all on Friday evening. I shared with you J’s love of all things Pointer(Click Here!). I too have become a big fan through the years.
With great seats, I snapped and snapped away at pictures of the Sisters. I am constantly amazed that Ruth (Age 66) and Anita (Age 64) have so much energy and vitality to put on such a great and energetic show. The Sisters performed every one of their familiar hits back to back with barely a break. They look phenomenal. One can only wonder how long they can keep this up. Along with Ruth’s granddaughter, Sadako, these ladies can certainly keep up with many of today’s younger starlets.
The set (in order) included “Happiness”, “He’s So Shy”, “Automatic”, “Slow Hand”, “Dare Me”, “Fire”, “I’m So Excited”, “Neutron Dance”, and “Jump(For My Love)”. I love a concert when artists sing their most popular hits. The crowd was up off their feet for most of the concert. “I’m so excited I just can’t hide it. I’m about to lose control and I think I like it.”
Here are some pictures that I snapped on Friday night:

I love this picture of the backdrop.
After the concert, J & I headed to Cochon for a great dinner and a couple of nightcaps. More on Cochon later!
Exciting & Jumping, y’all!
Looks like you and J had a great time! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great show! They are really fantastic, aren't they? And, isn't it nice to know that some of old broads aren't ready for the grave yet?:>) xo Diana
