It seems as if the skies have opened up for the past two weeks and it has rained, and rained, and rained. Coupled with this rain are ear-blasting thunder and cringing lightning. The skies have all lit up. Scary to say the least, and it seems like the thunderstorms are “training” over us. Just look below. Oh my!
I know many across the country need this rain, so I hope and pray it moves your way. Rain, rain, please go away! If you know anything about New Orleans, you know that the streets cannot handle large amounts of rain in a short amount of time. Though my area does not flood, many streets across the city remain impassable. Here are a few local photos:
Add to my disappointment, meteorologists Buchtel and Kevra of WWL-TV predict many more showers and thunderstorms today and through the weekend. Ugh!
Since I am stuck inside today, I will continue my summer reading(I have not finished this book yet!) and make a fresh batch of perfect frozen margaritas. It’s like sunshine in a glass.
So, grab your umbrella before you go. I’ll grab my favorite one from Conte de Florence that I picked up years ago from The Paris Market in Savannah.
Rain, rain go away & come back another day.
I am looking forward to my pool and beach days once again. Dreamin’…
But in the meantime,
Grab your umbrella, ella, ella, y’all!
(And no! I did not buy this umbrella to match a set of chairs. LOL!)

So O.V.E.R. this rain! Leave it to you, Ron, to turn this incessant rain into a totally interesting blog! Love the umbrella! ;)
ReplyDeleteWish you could shove some of that rain our way--the crops here are really suffering from the drought. Love your pool area! Looks like a wonderful place to kick back and relax.
