Bradenton Vacation 2012

J & I love spending time with our BFFs Greg and Mark in beautiful Bradenton, FL. Their gorgeous home is nestled on Hawk Island on the Manatee River. The view from the rear of the home is spectacular.

Cabaret

BFF Mark is a professional singer and was featured in a local cabaret fundraiser to benefit the local organization ALSO. My BFF Greg is the Chairman of the Board of this worthwhile organization. We were treated to “An Evening at the Movies”.

Sandbar

One of my most favorite restaurants is on nearby Anna Maria Island. I love dining seaside, especially in the evening witnessing the sunset. Great music, food, drinks, and friends ----and of course sand & salty air! I devoured the specialty, the grouper sandwich.

Tarpon Pointe Grill & Tiki Bar

A new addition to my must-try again list of beachy restaurants. Set on the Manatee River, the Tarpon Pointe is a great beach restaurant and bar. It is a unique experience featuring waterfront views, gourmet food, drinks, live music, activities and entertainment, all in a friendly easy-going atmosphere!

  3. Ron, those pix bring back a lot of memories. Sharon and I met there, both worked for the Bradenton Herald, were married there and spent a lot of time at the Sandbar and Tuna St. beach. Thanks for posting these.....neil

  4. Well, what the heck happened? You dropped off my dashboard. When I saw your comment I realized I hadn't "seen" you around. I am going to unjoin your blog and then rejoin to see if that puts you back on my blog roll. Weird.

Anyway, great pictures. You guys always look like you are having fun...and I LOVE and miss living in Florida. See...even old people like to have fun!;>) xo Diana
