As you know, I adore Southern bird oil paintings- egrets, herons, pelicans, spoon-billed birds. Just days ago, I scored a new one to add to my collection compliments of Chic Chateau.
Take a look at the colors of the Roseate Spoonbill. I love the pop of pink against the dark greenish-blue muddy background. The life-like nature of this bird really impresses me.
I hung my newest oil in the dining room above my French-inspired Wisteria shelving unit. It looks perfect!
I am slowly rearranging and preparing for an upcoming photo shoot. Have I said how much I heart summer?
Bird oils, y’all! (You can never have too many.)

Love Love Love the whole arrangement.......picture, plates, etagere, and everything on it. And, oh, that oyster plate is the bomb!
ReplyDeleteThe painting is beautiful, Ron, and looks perfect where you hung it. Can't wait for the blog after the photo shoot! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Ron, so very nice to meet you. I found you through Shenita's blog. The oyster plates is lovely. Your vignette is wonderful and the picture with it's strong pop of pink is striking. I am off to explore your lovely home. I am your new linky and google connect follower. I hope you pop in for a visit and follow along. Linda
ReplyDeleteLooks great--and I love the plate arrangement around it!
ReplyDeleteRon, the painting is gorgeous! I would love to add one to my guest room. My mother-in-law gifted me with some gorgeous bedding in the soft blue and green family. I think it is quickly becoming my 'coastal room'.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Ron!! I saw well over 50 of these in Grand Isle in April, they are beautiful birds.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! It's in the perfect space and I totally adore all your oyster plates...just beautiful.

ReplyDeleteOh My Goodness! That is the most GORGEOUS PAINTING EVER! I didn't realize it was that size until I looked at where you LANDED HIM. "PERFECT"!!! I especially LOVE the black&white plates you've used on the wall "WHICH Make the painting POP"! LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteMy next post is going to have a picture of an antique stone flamingo my parents got in 1947...I have been trying to landscape him into my New England gardens which has been QUITE a challenge. So now I call him my little visitor. WELL, I'll fill in the details in the post.
Have a wonderful week,
Donna
