Braving the day’s heat, we moved quickly to property set up early by BFFs Gary & Jemar. We always have a great spot near the Acura Stage where many of the day’s headliners perform. The property is close to a beer booth and the ever-needed port-a-potties.
After setting up our chairs, we quickly trekked to find the oh-so delicious crawfish bread. Score!
We then settled down for an afternoon of listening to a couple New Orleans greats and the headliner of the day, The Eagles.

After the fest, we then headed to a couple after-parties. We ended at BFF Rollie’s gorgeous Bayou St. John home for crawfish and all the fixins. I especially loved the small jazz band and the installation of lighting in the oak trees. What a beautiful sight!
Another Jazz Fest down. Amen!

All that Jazz, y’all!
That's an awesome lineup! I've never been to Jazz Fest and I'm not sure it's my kind of thing, but I enjoy seeing friends' pics and hearing stories!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I could have been there to take it all in! Looks like a blast.
ReplyDeleteYou have a no-reply on your comment, Ron, so I am replying to your very kind request here.
Yes! You can share my Derby Party pics here.
Thanks so very much. I would be flattered!
Best regards,

I didn't go to Jazz Fest yesterday, but the hubby and son went and loved it. Crowds are not my thing and having to use a porto-potty is definitely a "gross" thing for me. I'm glad you had a wonderful time. :)
ReplyDeleteWe attended Jazz Fest the Thursday before you and had a great time. We try to go every year, I love NOLA sooo much! I'm glad I found your blog through The Polohouse.
