My Pinterest |
Years ago, when J & I were building our new home in Atlanta, I would collect many tear sheets from my favorite publications-Southern Accents, Cottage Living, Domino, Southern Living, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Veranda, and more. I would spend hours tearing pages of all my favorite finds and organize all in a large binder.

Tears sheets---loads of ideas |
The pictures became very helpful as I was designing the "perfect" home. From paint colors to rugs samples, from hardwood floor stains to fabric swatches, from pieces of furniture and home accessories to landscape ideas, my binder was my "bible". Looking through my "bible" for this post was an interesting look back.
More of my boards/pins |
Fast forward to 2012 when I discovered Pinterest! What took me so long? I would see that I was following facebook friends' pins and boards, but I had really no clue what all that meant. At the beginning of this year, I took the plunge.
Pinterest is a virtual pin board that allows you to pin, save, and share ideas online. Browsing pin boards created by others is a great way to be inspired. Whether you are decorating your home or searching for a new recipe, pinterest inspires new ideas for everyone.
A few of my own favorite boards include:
Oysteria-hysteria: a collection of my favorite oyster shell creation pins
Going Coastal: a collection of coastal chic decor pins
Ralph Lauren Style: a collection of pins inspired by my love of Ralph Lauren
French Country: a collection of French decor pins that are so Ooooo la la
Holiday Style: a collection of Holiday decor and entertaining pins
And of course I downloaded my own decor pins! Check out my boards and pins.
Here are a few of my favorite recent pins:

Happy Pinning!
Love this post. I'm on Pinterest, but I don't know how to use it yet. :( I have all these people following me, and they must be thinking why I even accepted the invite! Keep your blogs coming!
