Scent-sational Scoop...Sir Elton John's Holiday Classic Candle

     You might ask yourself why I would feature a holiday scented candle at the end of January. Well, just wait! You'll see why I purchased a couple of these back at the beginning of December. You see, in these parts, there is a holiday season going on--- a holiday season that lasts from January 6-Fat Tuesday. I was anticipating the Mardi Gras season when I came across Elton John's latest candle offering, his Nest Holiday Classic Candle.

     This past December, I purchased the last two of these candles from Perch, one of my favorite shoppes on historic Magazine Street. I just knew that this candle would be the perfect addition to all my Mardi Gras decor, for it is housed in a beautiful majestic purple glass container adorned with a regal gold crown.

     The scent is described as "a delicious blend of evergreen and balsam fir needles combined with rich woods and a sparkling citrus accord." I prefer woodsy scents, so this choice is a perfect one for any time of year. The scent is fresh and clean like an afternoon walk through the woods.

     I even felt better with my purchase knowing that a portion of the sales would also benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Candles that "give" is a great concept.
