Mardi Gras is one of my favorite seasons of the year, so I love to decorate in the traditional colors of purple, green, and gold. The facade of my home features wooden crowns, buntings, flags, and metallic garlands. Oh, it also includes the perfect purple, green, and gold lights.
It was finally nice and sunny this weekend that I decided to snap away.
Being only a couple blocks from the traditional Uptown parade route, decorating for the season is so much fun.
Stay tuned as I take you inside tomorrow…

Good morning, Ron! Happy MLK Day--I'm sure you are enjoying your coffee and watching GMA. :) Love the facade--so very carnival looking. I especially love what you did to the oyster wreath--you sure are getting your "mileage" out of it since it took you so long to make it. Planning on spending a couple of nights at the condo the first week of February since Steve is going on a guys ski trip. Gotta have some quality time with my best girl, Natalie. Hopefully, we can hook up for drinks or even dinner. Can't wait to "come inside" for the virtual tour of the interior of your home. Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteRon,

Good morning! What beautiful decor, and I especially love the comedy and tragedy masks. I also love how you alter your oyster shell wreath for the seasons. Can't wait to see what you've done on the interior. Have a great week. Teresa

ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic, Ron! Love the buntings! Your door looks fantastic with the garland and theater mask! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThe door crown is gorgeous. If I were walking through the neighborhood, I'd most definitely have to stop and take photos of your house! Thanks for saving me the time!
ReplyDeleteLooks so festive and fun ... let the good times roll.

Great Mardi Gras decorations. LOVE the gold masks and door crowns.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Your house looks so festive! I love the bright banners and the gold masks over your door. I couldn't get away with that at my house since I don't live in New Orleans. That's another good excuse to decorate!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous, Ron!
