Come on into the parlor and take a look at the decorations ready for Spring/Easter.
On the entrance mirrored chest, the concrete clam shell not only holds shells but eggs.
On the secretary, a vintage postcard bunny dish and a foil bunny add just a little touch for the upcoming season.
Two bunnies in a washed brown-grey color rest on the lower mantle. I purchased the bunnies new this year at Gordon’s of Metairie.
Another foiled bunny sits inside a cloche on the accent table.
The parlor sets a spirited tone for the Spring season to come.
Happy Birthday to my “favorite godchild, Henri. Paran Ron hopes you are spoiled rotten today (like today would be any different from any other day).
Love ya… BIG! BIG! xo

A Spring Parlor, y’all!
Love the addition of your fabulous eggs and bunnies. Everything looks so beautiful as usual.
ReplyDeleteHi Ron and I wish a happy birthday to your handsome little god child! Oh, your Easter touches are so pretty. Love your creative clam with shells and eggs! Those are some mighty fine rabbits on your mantel - which I just love. You have a very lovely home. I'm glad you heard me saying hello. :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia;)
Love all your Spring vignettes--I especially love the foil bunnies. Happy Birthday to Henri! Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! I Iove the new blog design!!! Will reply to your email today :-) xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteYou never cease to create wonderful vignettes! I adore the bunnies you obtained in Metairie (our youngest has a friend from there, they met when she came to live with her Aunt here after Hurricane Katrina for awhile). Love the addition of the eggs to the clam shell. I need to decorate mine (it's been empty since the holidays). And, Happy Birthday to Henri. What a handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteThe large view of your front room is beautiful. A room should be interesting before you place a stick of furniture in it - and your house fits that perfectly. Of course, all your furnishings and accessories make it twice as lovely. Big ole' rabbits? Yes,yes! I need to find some!
ReplyDelete(cute kid, too.)

Happy spring, Ron, and happy birthday to your precious godchild. Really like your new rabbits on the mantel.
ReplyDeleteRon, the parlor looks amazing! You just always find the best accents and accessories! Can you come and decorate my home?
ReplyDeleteSo, so lovely! I am digging that coronal light fixture! What a great statement piece, and that mantle...wow!

As a new follower I must comment on your mantle. I have the exact same mantle (one of 6 in our house!) except ours is natural, unpainted. May I ask how tall your ceilings are? I rarely decorate the "upper" shelf of ours but yours looks wonderful. Our ceilings are 11 feet tall, are yours? (It just never entered my mind to decorate that area, except at Christmas! And I'm envious of those bunnies!!! Vicki in Louisville KY
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty! I love that you added eggs to the clam shell. I hope Henri had a blast for his birthday!
